New partnership with the New Jersey Department of Corrections will expand access to treatment, assessment and recovery-focused education for individuals across the state’s correctional system.
Maryville Integrated Care has been selected to provide substance use disorder treatment and recovery education services for the New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC). The new partnership expands Maryville’s longstanding mission to bring high-quality, evidence-based care to people and communities throughout New Jersey.
Maryville will provide substance use disorder treatment at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility and South Woods State Prison, which together have 536 designated treatment beds. The program will also include substance use disorder assessments at designated intake facilities and recovery-focused education for individuals in General Population and Restorative Housing settings throughout New Jersey’s correctional system.
The partnership expands Maryville’s work with justice-involved individuals and reflects a core belief that has guided the organization for decades: everyone deserves access to effective treatment and the opportunity for recovery.
“For more than 75 years, Maryville has believed that recovery is possible and that every person deserves to be treated with respect and dignity,” said Jared Levy, Chief Executive Officer of Maryville. “We’re proud to partner with the New Jersey Department of Corrections to bring that commitment to people in the correctional system. This partnership gives us the opportunity to help individuals build healthier futures, strengthen their recovery, and prepare for a successful return to their communities.”
Continuing Maryville’s Mission
The partnership represents both a new chapter for Maryville and a continuation of the mission that has guided the organization for more than seven decades: helping individuals and families improve their health and wellness through high-quality, integrated treatment, recovery support and education.
As Maryville prepares to launch services across the NJDOC system, that mission remains at the heart of this work: providing compassionate, evidence-based care, supporting recovery, and helping people successfully return to their communities.
