Residential Treatment Services
Residential treatment offers a structured setting, free from outside distractions; and allows you to focus solely on your recovery. Services are available to adults 18 and older who abuse or are dependent on opioids, alcohol or other drugs and those who have co-occurring mental health issues.
Maryville operates two residential facilities. The Williamstown Campus serves men and women in separate quarters with gender-specific programming and is located on 40 wooded acres in rural Gloucester County. Maryville at Post House serves men and is located in Pemberton, in rural Burlington County. Both locations offer medically monitored withdrawal management (detox) and short-term treatment, with Maryville at Post House also offering a long-term treatment program. All levels of care include holistic, evidence-based treatment approaches that have helped bring hope, health and healing to thousands of people who have successfully engaged in long-term recovery.
Your recovery path is unique to you and it is important that your treatment and aftercare plan reflect your needs, preferences, and life responsibilities. During your stay, your primary counselor will work with you to develop a roadmap that is realistic for your life, so you have the best chance to achieve and sustain long-term recovery.
Since substance use disorders and mental health issues are often connected, our co-occurring mental health professionals can help you address any mental health concerns. Licensed therapists and Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) are available for evaluation, therapy, and psychiatric medication, as indicated.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based practice demonstrating significant success with opioid use disorder. Maryville offers MAT services including the use of Suboxone and Vivitrol as clinically indicated. For those who are receiving MAT services from another provider, Maryville will coordinate care to ensure a consistent, comprehensive approach to your treatment.
Problem gambling disorders also may accompany substance use disorders. Maryville’s residential treatment programs offer gambling-specific treatment, case management, and support services to help individuals diagnosed with these two disorders. Services are delivered in conjunction with clients’ substance use treatment; and aftercare planning addresses the need for continued care in both areas.
Residential treatment programing also includes:
- Group and individual counseling
- Family counseling when indicated
- Onsite 12 Step and alternative meetings
- 24-hour onsite nursing department and access to physicians
- Health and disease education, treatment, and referral
- Education on relapse prevention, social skills, coping skills, and anger management
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) support services
- Therapeutic recreation
Clients completing any level of care are invited to take part in Maryville’s Alumni Services program. This program offers free social and recreational opportunities, workshops, and an ongoing network of support to help you sustain your recovery, long after you complete treatment.
