Medical-Legal Partnership

new funding

Maryville was recently awarded New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services funding to launch a Medical-Legal (MLP) Partnership. A medical-legal partnership is a collaboration between health care providers and attorneys and aims to tackle social needs that have an impact on health. MLPs work to improve health equity by incorporating legal services into health care settings. MLPs can address legal needs such as housing, employment, immigration, and family law matters. They can also reduce stress, improve mental health, and improve treatment adherence. Maryville will hire attorneys who will assist inpatient and outpatient clients with their legal challenges. Services will be available at our Williamstown, Pemberton, Turnersville, and Vineland sites.
